SOREN KJELDSEN SHARES HIS THOUGHTS ON CASTLE STUART

Soren Kjeldsen, Danish player 49th in world said; “I loved it before but it is even better this year as the rough is up a little bit. It will play slightly harder this time but it is a great golf course and the set up is terrific. “I think this is by far the best I’ve seen it and it is going to be a really good test this week. “It is always fun to play links courses in the wind and this course needs a little bit of wind, but every hole is so well designed. There are so many great holes. The third is one of my favourites, a great risk and reward par 4, while the par 5 sixth is very...

QUICK QUOTES WITH PHIL MICKELSON ON THE 2016 AAMSO

PHIL MICKELSON: It was tough but I think this course is so well-designed that it can accommodate difficult conditions. I think it was designed to accommodate conditions like that. It's a very fair test. I thought it was very playable even in such challenging conditions. Unfortunately I didn't have a great putting day. I really struggled on the greens and missed quite a few short putts that prevented me from shooting a score around par. But I actually enjoy the challenge of playing in these conditions. Q. Is that a mental challenge more than anything else? PHIL MICKELSON: That's part...

I love Castle Stuart. I’ve loved the golf course even before I played well in 2013. The two years prior I could see how great a golf course it was, what a wonderful design and how fun it was to play. “It’s got a great mixture of holes, birdie holes, tough pars, great shot-making skills. It gives you a chance to get accustomed to the wind, to the air, the fescue grass, the challenge of links...
