  The four-time Scottish Open venue Castle Stuart Golf Links has been recognised in the prestigious Scottish Golf Tourism Awards. The Moray Firth course was shortlisted in five categories and was ultimately rewarded for offering value for money by picking up the award in the best value (over £100) category. CASTLE STUART WELCOMES EXTRA BA INVERNESS-HEATHROW FLIGHTS

Castle Stuart Golf Links has welcomed news of more flights between Inverness and Heathrow which will greatly increase leisure traffic to the Highlands. BA has announced a 30 per cent increase in capacity on the route, from seven to ten flights a week, beginning in March next year. The first tee at Castle Stuart is less than a five-minute drive from Inverness Airport and the course has seen a significant increase in golfers visiting the four-time Scottish Open venue since BA re-introduced the Inverness-Heathrow link in May 2016.
