CASTLE STUART WELCOMES EXTRA BA INVERNESS-HEATHROW FLIGHTS

Castle Stuart Golf Links has welcomed news of more flights between Inverness and Heathrow which will greatly increase leisure traffic to the Highlands. BA has announced a 30 per cent increase in capacity on the route, from seven to ten flights a week, beginning in March next year. The first tee at Castle Stuart is less than a five-minute drive from Inverness Airport and the course has seen a significant increase in golfers visiting the four-time Scottish Open venue since BA re-introduced the Inverness-Heathrow link in May 2016. The internationally-renowned Castle Stuart Golf Links has appointed James Hutchison as head greenkeeper as it seeks to build on its reputation for sustainable and environmentally-friendly course management. James, who joined Castle Stuart as a greenkeeper during its construction in 2007, has been deputy course manager since the four-time Scottish Open venue opened in 2009.
