Two of the north of Scotland’s brightest golfing prospects have been chosen to represent the area in the prestigious Duke of York Young Champions Trophy at Castle Stuart next month. Local charities will benefit from a golf day held at Castle Stuart in memory of Donnie Fraser, founder and managing director of Korrie Mechanical and Plumbing. Friends and colleagues took part in the event, the second held in tribute to Mr Fraser, who died in 2016. Proceeds will go to Highland Hospice and Korrie Kauses, the charity arm of the company. Abernethy Golf Club member June Clark is the first individual winner of the Highland Ladies Open after an exciting competition at Castle Stuart. June, a 24-handicapper, scored 43 points in the individual Stableford content - a change to the previous pairs format.
